Searching for a general dental office that you can trust to take care of your family’s dental needs can be tough. If you are looking for a dentist in St. Louis, Crestwood, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, or Affton, MO areas who is equipped with the latest technologies and provides gentle, compassionate, non-judgmental care, you have found the right place! At Crestwood Dental Group, we provide a wide array of general dentistry services for the whole family.

Dr. James Maxwell is highly trained in advanced general dentistry techniques and has invested in the latest technologies and materials, such as laser dentistry and high-quality ceramics and composites, to provide you with the best possible care. Common general dentistry services we provide include:

  • Tooth-colored fillings – Gone are the days when having a cavity means that you needed to have an unsightly silver filling placed; tooth-colored composite fillings are invisible to others when you smile or speak.
  • Dental bonding – We can use the same type of tooth-colored composite material to repair issues with the shape or structure of your tooth, such as chips, breaks, or even cosmetic issues such as permanent stains or teeth that are a different size or shape for a beautiful, symmetrical smile
  • Crowns – A highly versatile dental restoration, crowns can be used to repair and protect teeth that have been damaged, replace a missing tooth on a dental implant, affix a dental bridge in place, or even change the aesthetics of a tooth
  • Bridges – For those looking to restore their smile, we are able to create a permanent dental bridge. A dental bridge will not only fill in the gap where you are missing teeth, but it will prevent the shifting of remaining teeth into the gap. A dental bridge will restore your chewing function and speech articulation and preserve the internal structure of your face so that you will retain a youthful appearance.
  • Tooth replacement options – If you are facing tooth loss, we offer a number of options to replace your missing teeth for a natural appearance and functional smile, including dental implants, full and partial dentures, all-on-4 “teeth in a day,” and dental bridges
  • …and more

At Crestwood Dental Group, we are dedicated to providing a personalized experience rather than a one-size-fits-all care approach. We take the time to perform a thorough evaluation and walk through your options with you so you can feel confident about your path towards a healthy smile. To schedule your appointment, call our office today at (314) 463-5655.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Tooth-colored fillings, dental crowns, bonding, tooth replacement options such as implants, dentures, and dental bridges are some of these services.

When properly cared for, a dental crown should last about 10 years. They can last longer, but 10 years is about average. A crown will last a shorter period of time if not properly cared for. You should treat your crown as you would your normal teeth. Make sure and follow your dental hygiene routine of brushing, flossing, and rinsing. Make sure you do not chew on hard objects, as it could result in a cracked or broken crown. If a crown breaks, cracks, or falls off, please call our office immediately.

Receiving a filling is a comfortable procedure that can sometimes suffer from an unfair reputation. While drilling will be required to remove areas of the tooth that are decayed, the area of the mouth will be completely numbed beforehand so that all you feel is a slight, but not uncomfortable, pressure. Getting a filling is quick and convenient as well!

Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure that repairs broken, chipped, or cracked teeth. It can also tackle discolored and gapped teeth and lengthen teeth that are shorter than the others. It uses a composite resin to restore damaged teeth and resembles the natural teeth in color.

They are made of a biocompatible and non-harmful dental resin or composite to match the color of the neighboring teeth. It is a conservative treatment that preserves much of the natural tooth structure. Fillings are durable, resilient, long-lasting, and look attractive and natural.
